Arseniy Yatsenuk, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, demanded to fulfill mine-workers requirements! Печать

As a result of the meeting held by Mr. Yatsenuk with the representatives of mining unions, on 28 January 2015 he charged a mission to his Ministers where Mr. V.V. Demchyshyn was the first in the list. The document takes into account all demands made by mine-workers of Western Donbas and PRUP Unions regarding payments to power market for consumed power and debts refunding during the protest actions in Kiev.

The Prime Minister’s mission says as follows:     

«I am requesting to set up an interdepartmental commission with the participation of mining industry union organizations and people’s deputies of Ukraine to adjust problems at mining industry and examine issues discussed during the meeting as soon a possible, including:

- Liquidate wage debts to the mining employees.

- Ensure the complete consumed power payments to power generating companies for supplied power with the purpose of paying for supplied coal mining products to the power plants.   

- Establish a wholesale power price in the market with the allowance for balanced cost of domestic mining product which is delivered to the thermal power plants.

- Provide maximum loading of generating capacity to the thermal power plants which operate using a “gas-group” coal.   

- Develop a reform program for each separate mine with a state-owned form of property in the framework of mining industry reforming / upgrading taking into consideration social issues and subsequent information to the employees of mines”.

The Prime Minister will have to be informed about results of the interdepartmental commission not later than 2 February 2015.
